Seminar & Forum Secretary-General LEE Hee-sup Attends the 22nd China-Japan-ROK Producers & Directors’ Forum

On February 25, 2025, Secretary-General of TCS LEE Hee-sup attended the 22nd China-Japan-ROK Producers & Directors’ Forum (hereinafter referred to as PD Forum) in Qingdao, China. The forum was co-organized by the China TV Artists Association, the Association of Broadcast Critics, the Association of All Japan TV Program Production Companies, and the Korean Producers & Directors’ Association. Approximately 160 producers and directors from the three countries gathered to exchange ideas and explore collaborative opportunities.
LEE Hee-sup said in his opening remarks that the PD Forum has been held continuously since 2001. Despite the ups and downs in the relationships between the three countries, the forum has provided sustained positive energy for people-to-people and cultural exchanges. This year’s PD Forum featured in-depth discussions on the theme “Youth and Traditional Culture: Transmission and Development in Interaction.” As the future of the three countries, the younger generation’s understanding of traditional culture, along with mutual understanding and goodwill, will play a crucial role. These factors will form a solid foundation for fostering peace and co-prosperity in Northeast Asia.
Established in 2001, the PD Forum stands as one of the longest-standing and most influential events in the film and television industry among China, Japan, and the ROK. Founded with the mission of promoting cultural exchange and collaboration among TV producers and directors in East Asia, the forum has played a pivotal role in strengthening regional ties and advancing creative partnerships.
