On December 20, 2024, Deputy Secretary-General of the TCS YAN Liang met Head of Global Office, Global Headquarters JEONG Il-seop at the Second Government Office of Gangwon-do in Gangneung.
YAN Liang said that Gangwon-do successfully hosted the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics and the 2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympics, both of which have showcased the Olympic spirit of peace and friendship, promoting peace in Northeast Asia.
YAN Liang stressed the importance of Gangwon-do advancing its tourism industry in alignment with the 9th Trilateral Summit’s decision to increase people-to-people exchanges among the three countries.
Mr. JEONG Il-seop mentioned that Gangwon-do has been working to repurpose Olympic facilities and improve their utilization rates post-Olympics by hosting trilateral sports and tourism events. Close collaboration with TCS is anticipated to help integrate additional resources and explore new tourism opportunities.
