On February 6, 2024, Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) Secretary-General LEE Hee-sup had a meeting with Ambassador Ganbold Baasanjav, Head of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific East and North-East Asia Office (UNESCAP-ENEA) to discuss ongoing and future cooperation between TCS and UNESCAP.
SG LEE and Amb. Ganbold shared the progress of the upcoming Carbon Neutrality Forum, which is co-organized by TCS and UNESCAP. Both parties appreciated the efforts made to make the Forum a success and promised to extend cooperation beyond the Carbon Neutrality Forum by reaching out to other important sectors in China, Japan, and Korea.
In addition, the Heads exchanged ideas for further collaboration at the 80th Session of ESCAP in April, which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand.
SG LEE and Amb. Ganbold concluded the meeting by reiterating each organization’s commitment to work together and agreed to keep close communication for continued cooperation.
