2015年11月26日，中日韩三国合作秘书处秘书长杨厚兰率副秘书长李钟宪和梅泽彰马访问中国环境保护部，与国际合作司李海生司长就三国环境合作深入交换了意见。
杨厚兰秘书长积极评价三国环保合作历史最久、是三国合作最重要领域之一，并在领导人会议上得到了三国领导人的认可。为进一步深化三国环保合作，他强调了三国信息共享和开展相关研究的重要性，表示秘书处将竭尽全力为推动三国环保合作提供支持。
李海生司长赞赏秘书处为推动三国合作做出的努力，并介绍了中国在环保领域取得的成就和新出台的政策。他赞同杨秘书长的建议，并表示中方愿意在三国环保合作多个议题下与秘书处开展合作。
